MATCH REPORT
By Ian Pugh

Northern Premier League
Coleshill Town were beaten by a single second‑half goal as Bedworth United claimed a narrow victory in the first home game of the season at Pack Meadow.

First Half
Coleshill enjoyed long spells of possession but struggled to turn their control into clear chances. Bedworth, meanwhile, carried the greater threat on the break, forcing Cam into two important saves to keep the scores level.

Coleshill’s best moment of the half arrived in stoppage time. Two corners in quick succession caused uncertainty in the Bedworth penalty area, with the ball bouncing dangerously across the six‑yard box. However, no decisive shot materialised before the referee brought the half to a close.

Second Half
The pattern continued after the restart, with Coleshill again seeing more of the ball but unable to create a meaningful opening. Bedworth remained organised and patient, and the match settled into a tight, competitive midfield battle.

The breakthrough came in the 76th minute. A long pass aimed towards the Coleshill right was intercepted, allowing Bedworth to counter quickly. Shipman broke the offside line and advanced into the box. Cam attempted to intercept but was left with too much ground to cover, and Shipman rounder the keeper to reach the byline. Rather than shooting from a tight position, he pulled the ball back for Aaron Korpal, who finished calmly into an unguarded net.

Coleshill responded immediately. Following a cleared corner, Mason Rees struck a half‑volley that beat the goalkeeper but crashed against the crossbar — the closest the hosts came to an equaliser.

Final Stages
Coleshill pressed strongly in the closing minutes, pushing Bedworth deep and forcing several defensive interventions. Despite sustained pressure, the visitors held firm and restricted Coleshill to half‑chances, seeing out the match without further alarm.

Full-Time
Coleshill Town 0-1 Bedworth United
A frustrating result for Coleshill, who showed endeavour throughout but were undone by a single moment of Bedworth composure.
