NON LEAGUE PAPER WROTE
Sweeney Hits Back To Cheer Colemen:

Harry Sweeney's first half equaliser halted a two game losing run for Coleshill and ensued third-placed Anstey fell further behind leaders Carlton Town, who won on a weather-hit Saturday. A corner from Town's Ben Usher-Shipway was cleared only as far Sweeney, on the edge of the box, and his effort beat Nomads keeper Anthony Nunez in the 39th minute, with the help of a slight deflection. The visitors had arrived on the back of seven wins and a draw in the previous eight fixtures and looked to be on course for another victory when Kyle Tomlin swung in an inviting corner in the 14th minute and skipper Jordan Annable headed home to put his side ahead. But the Colemen had other ideas and would have levelled before Swenney's goal but for an impressive recovery tackle from Annable after Tristan Dunkley looked to have been put through one-on-one with Nunez. After an even first half, Anstey edged possession after the break but was the hosts who left to rue their profligacy after passing up a glorious chance for the winner. It came from another Usher-Shipway corner ten minutes from time which was hacked clear before being recycled back into the box by Jack Hallahan. The ball fell to Dan Brookes on the volley but the Town player snatched at it, right footed, and blazed over the bar. With heavy rain disrupting the Northern Premier, Midland Division programme, Anstey Nomads manager Tony Blanchard could at least take solace in the fct near rivals Basford and Belper also suffered stalemates, while Corby and Fichfield's fixtures were off.
