DETERMINED COLESHILL
Coleshill entertained Walsall Wood on Saturday and in a hard fought Midland Combination Division One matched gained a point in their fight to avoid re-election. In a fairly even first half Coleshill had the first scoring chance when Holland was put clear of the Walsall defence by a fine through ball from Parsons, but his finishing effort lacked power. Near half time Sarson hit a great cross, which was eventually scrambled away by a desperate Walsall rearguard. Coleshill found themselves defending in depth at the start of the second half. Sarson and Colvin were outstanding in the back four, while a hard working midfield trio kept them in the game. In the 70th minute Coleshill were reduced to ten men when full back Page was sent off, but near the end Holland almost gave Coleshill success with a shot that was only inches off target. This Saturday Coleshill Town visit Moor Green and on Monday they travel to Evesham.
