Coleshill suffered a second early season defeat in mid-week when after leading 1-0 they conceded two late goals to Boldmere. First half exchanges were fairly even with Coleshill dominating midfield with some fine tackling. Tattum went close to scoring for Boldmere from a free kick, but Town replied with a free kick from Allen, which the home keeper could only parry, but he recovered well to save Wright’s follow up shot. Tattum again created a dangerous situation in the Coleshill goalmouth as Rhodes headed just wide. Gibbons gradually came into the game more for Coleshill and crossed the ball well, only to see Howlings intercept. The visitors then gained three corners in quick succession and Gibbons set up the first goal when he squared the ball in from the byeline to Wright, who hammered it home. Boldmere hit back for Rhodes to bring a smart save from Burness. Gibbons was again to the fore at the start of the second half and he was just off target with a first time shot. Whipps then created an opening for Wright, but Boldmere’s defence recovered quickly to stamp out the danger. Boldmere finished stronger and in the 70th minute Saunders equalised following a free kick. Eight minutes later Rhodes scored with a glancing header from yet another dead ball situation. Coleshill tried hard, but failed to fight their way back into the game.
