Stamford ran out comfortable winners (not until the third goal went in) against a resolute Coleshill at the Zeeco. The Daniels took the lead after 14 minutes when Joe Burgess' cross was cleared to Connor Bartle who smashed an arrowlike shot into the top corner. Coleshill equalised soon after half time when a mistake at the back saw Alex Tomkinson's shot (no it wasn't, it was George Washbourne) saved by Dan Haystead only for Kia Tonge to find the empty net. Stamford retook the lead when Rob Morgan's throughball found Jon Margetts who was felled for a penalty. (never a pen) Harry Vince made no mistake. Stamford then made it safe when Bartle's corner was headed back by Marshall Willock to Burgess who was deadly from five yards out to take Stamford to seven wins on the trot.
Star Man: Harry Vince (Stamford)
