WE MEET AGAIN - BROCTON


Although founded in 1937, Brocton had played in Staffordshire leagues and so had never came up against Coleshill until they were promoted to the Midland Combination Premier for the 2003/04 season. In that time Brocton have played at three different grounds. First Cannock Sports Stadium, then they shared at Heath Hayes, and then, with the aid of a grant, they took on the old Staffordshire Police ground at Silkmore Lane, Stafford. Coleshill definitely have the better record having done the “double” over Brocton three times.

Coleshill last played at Brocton's ground in 2018 but not against Brocton. The season Coleshill gained promotion to Level 4, they also made the Final of the MFA Cup, unfortunately losing to Walsall Wood, but they beat South Normanton in the Semi Final at Brocton's Silkmore Lane ground.

Brocton are currently still in the Midland League Premier Division, one level below Coleshill.
