THE NON-LEAGUE PAPER WROTE
A Winner By George

George Seacole's last-gasp goal secured a deserved win for North Leigh. Seacole stole in at the far stick in the final minute to force home a cross from the excellent Scott Isherwood. It was no more than the Millers deserved, though the result was harsh on Paul Hathaway, who performed heroics in the Coleshill goal. Hathaway beat out a first half hour effort from Isherwood and the resulting corner was cleared off the line. More brilliance kept out Seacole early in the second half, in which Hathaway foiled Isherwood once more. Luke Carnell had an effort cleared off the line while home skipper Adam Learoyd hit the woodwork, but as the seconds ticked down, Seacole struck to win it.
Star Man: Scott Isherwood. (North Leigh)

MATCH REPORT
With consecutive wins, Wisbech in the Trophy and Biggleswade in the League, Coleshill’s confidence has risen following a disappointing start to the season but a visit to North Leigh and their sloping pitch is always tough.
Both teams went for it right from the start, Danny Tymon and Joe Halsall having efforts for Coleshill and Paul Hathaway making the first of many saves to thwart the home team. Taylor Carter-Byrne shot over from 20 yards out and Hathaway saved at the feet of Seacole, but despite both sides giving their all half time arrived with no goals for either side.

North Leigh upped their game in the second half and Hathaway had to be at his best to save a header from Seacole and the same player found himself clear on goal but shot over. A header from Carnell was desperately hacked off the line. A great tackle by Shay Palmer sent another effort out for a corner and Hathaway punched the cross away under pressure as Leigh ploughed forward and then Learoyd’s effort hit the post as the home side got closer to breaking the deadlock. Coleshill slowly got back into the game and had a couple of half chances for Kai Tonge and substitute James Harrison but the home team pushed forward in the dying minutes and when a cross by Isherwood was bundled over the line at the far post by Seacole the game was won, and although the Town defence were screaming for hand ball the referee gave the goal.
On the second half performance North Leigh deserved the three points but Coleshill will be disappointed in the way they conceded.
