COLESHILL POST WROTE
Due to the level of non league football Coleshill now play they compete in the Trophy and not the Vase. In the last two years they have lost at the first hurdle so this was a history making result, a first FA Trophy win. Coleshill were the better team and had the better chances but they had to wait until the 59th minute before taking the lead through Kai Tonge. Daniel Dubidat made it two when he charged down the home keepers clearance and rolled the ball into an empty net. Wisbech scored from a corner late on but Coleshill has done enough for a famous victory.

MATCH REPORT
So here we go for the third attempt to win an FA Trophy game since promotion to Level 4 of the Non-League pyramid and a step up from the FA Vase.
Coleshill weren’t in the best of form with just one win in their six games so far this season, a 1-0 win away to Berkhamstead, but neither were the hosts who sat currently bottom of the Northern Premier League Division One.
The Colemen started well with a goalbound effort from Joe Halsall blocked within the first couple of minutes. A Gio Dainty header was tipped over the bar by home keeper Pearson and Taylor Carter-Byrne headed the resulting corner over the bar. A Kai Tonge attempted lob beat the keeper but landed on the roof of the net as the Colemen clearly had the upper hand. In reply Wisbech had a couple of dangerous crosses that first Harry Higginson headed clear and then keeper Paul Hathaway came quickly off his line to claim. Joe Halsall headed a Kai Tonge cross just past the post and a great block by Shay Palmer at the other end prevented Edge’s shot from heading for goal. Daniel Dubidat headed a Danny Tymon cross over the bar from a great position and as the half came to an end Coleshill had had the more chances but the game remained goalless.

The home side started the second half the brighter with Edge bringing out the best in keeper Paul Hathaway and Grogan headed a corner just wide of the post but it was the visitors who broke the deadlock when Josh Webb sent Kai Tongue free down the right. The wingers pace took him into the box and although his shot was heading for goal, a slight deflection wrong footed the keeper and found the back of the net. A slightly fortunate finish but well deserved. A second goal would kill the game and it came in even more fortunate circumstances. A routine backpass to Wisbech keeper Pearson should have been easily dealt with but the stopper took an age and his eventual clearance was blocked by Daniel Dubidat and the ball rolled into an empty net. A first Trophy win was within sight but Wisbech hit back. Grogan powered in a header from a Draper corner and in the dying seconds Draper had a great chance to level the score but shot over.
Coleshill weren’t at their best but they did enough to make the record books, a first ever win in the FA Trophy.
