MATCH REPORT
It’s mathematically still possible to make the playoffs but realistically it’s gone and with Bedford confirming their place, next Saturday, the last game of an incredible season, is a chance to relax and enjoy the day.
Coleshill were beaten fair and square by runners up Sporting but it could have been different. Town defended soundly in the first half and had a great chance to take the lead a minute before the break when Matt Gardner so nearly rounded the keeper but the stopper just managed to get a finger to the ball at full stretch. Then a minute into the second half they were awarded a penalty for hand ball but Reece Leek’s spot kick was saved. A moment of madness as the defence stood static allowed the home side to edge in front before a cracking goal by former Coleman Richard Gregory sealed the points.
Bromsgrove deserve to be where they are and best of luck to them in the play offs. And for Coleshill, “There’s always next season.”
