Kempston Rovers beat Coleshill Town 2-1 after debutant Lewis Green scored an unfortunate own goal. Izale McLeod scored from the spot to give Rovers the lead and just before half time things got worse for Coleshill as matt Jackson was sent off. Ten men Coleshill went in search of points and on 52 minutes they were rewarded when Joe Halsall won the ball on the edge of Rover' box and fed Jordan Nadat who slid the ball under keeper Carl Knox. A swift counter attack from Dan Clifton fed Scott Joseph and his dangerous cross was turned into the wrong net by Coventry City loanee and debutant Lewis Green.

MATCH REPORT
Coleshill missed out on their first double of the season when Kempston grabbed the points with two disputed refereeing decisions. With less than two minutes on the clock Jack McMillan was adjudged to have pulled back his marker in the Coleshill box and ex pro Izale McLeod scored from the spot. With something to hold on to Rovers defended like tigers and were dangerous on the break. Just before the interval Matt Jackson’s tackle upset the visitors who surrounded the referee who finally gave a red card to the Town defender.

With ten men Coleshill still went in search of points and on 52 minutes they were rewarded when Joe Halsall won the ball on the edge of Rovers box and fed Jordan Nadat who slid the ball under keeper Carl Knox for his third goal in the three games he has played since resigning for Coleshill. It was nip and tuck with both sides looking for the winner but with 15 to play the extra man counted. On 66 minutes a swift counter attack from Dan Clifton fed Scott Joseph out wide right and his great delivery cross was slid into his own net by on loan from Coventry City debutant youngster Lewis Green. Coleshill pounded the Rovers goal but couldn’t find the killer touch and on break aways Kempston should have scored through sub Nathan Tshikuna and Dan Clifton who tried to lob into an empty net from 45 yards with keeper Hathaway up for a corner.
