SUNDAY MERCURY WROTE
Coleshill took the lead after just eight minutes when Jones drove home a loose ball from 12 yards. Four minutes later the visitors increased their lead when Blakemey was judged to have handled the ball in the penalty area and Jones made no mistake from the spot. The visitors nearly increased their lead when Cash beat the off side trap and lobbed the advancing goalkeeper but his effort went just wide. Coleshill continued to have the better of the exchanges and increased their lead when keeper Butt after saving a shot from Williams, turned and pulled the ball back over his own goal line. The home side’s pressure finally told when Beclay crossed from the right, the ball was neatly headed on by Ellis to Young who scored from ten yards.
First Win this year. Is this a record?
