Coleshill Suffer As They Scramble To Find Form

Disappointed Coleshill Town boss Keith Shrimpton complained that his side should have at least shared the points in this game. "Goalkeeping errors lost us at least a point", he said "But we can take consolation from the fact that we are looking much better, new boy Ian Paul looks very good and I'm sure goals will come". The game was only 25 minutes old when young Jones made his first mistake. He dropped a Hanson cross and George prodded the ball home from five yards. Solihull quickly got the message and a Gibson cross was headed home by Hanson. Hard working Coleshill pulled one back through Micky Collins but Solihull came again. Gibson scored from the penalty spot after Lappage had been brought down. That score line left Coleshill desperately needing some Christmas cheer and Shrimpton is hoping it will come this week. On Saturday Kings Norton visit Coleshill for a 2.15 kick off. Coleshill will have a new keeper in action. Shrimpton has signed Roy Nicholas from Paget Rangers and he will join two others in making his home debut. Darren Giles, formerly with Shrewsbury Town, plays in midfield. Ex Walsall striker Ian Paul lines up along side Micky Collins. It was Collins who created some much needed goalmouth activity at Solihull. One other change might come if Shrimpton decides to rest full back Dave Moore. His form has suffered recently.
