TAMWORTH (Coleshill) HERALD
Coleshill Lack Fight

Coleshill Town slumped to defeat again on Saturday, going down to Walsall Borough in a drab, dismal game. In midfield Coleshill lacked the fighting spirit shown against Mile Oak. Only Brain Jordan played up to standard in that vital department. With most chances falling to Borough, twenty year old goal keeper Graham Jones had plenty of chances to shine and he took them. The drama was all reserved for the last couple of minutes after Clive Green had headed Borough into the lead in the 22nd minute. Newton's cross was missed by both Renchen (Rencher) and Watts in the 88th minute and a golden opportunity for Coleshill to equalise had gone. They were punished for the error immediately when Borough made the game safe through Ben Scott, the goal coming in the final minute. So Coleshill have score just once since September and have to go back to that same month for their last victory. Keith Shrimpton is trying to sign strikers and is on the track of several. One player he has signed is ex-Walsall player Ian Paul who was forced out of the first class game through injury. Paul will not be in Saturday's line up against Bournville because he is suspended but Shrimpton is likely to bring in Victor Hollier from the reserve squad. The Bournville game is in the Challenge Cup kicks off at Pack Meadow at 2pm to allow for extra time if required.
