TAMWORTH (Coleshill) HERALD
Title Still In Sight

Coleshill Town are still on course for the Premier division title even after this draw with local rivals Mile Oak Rovers. It was a game of contrasting halves, with Coleshill clearly looking the better side in the first half, and taking a deserved lead after 22 minutes. A low cross eluded the Oak defence, including the keeper, and left Bobby Dyer standing all on his own on the goal line to force the ball over. But it was Mile Oak that dominated for long periods in the second half, with Frank Gilmour having a header cleared off the line by Dave Moore and Dave Hadley beating the off side trap but lacking the necessary support to finish off. The equaliser came after 75 minutes with a stunning right foot volley from Brian Kenning. Both sides fought hard for a winner, non more than Nicky Lewis, but no one will complain about the final result because neither deserved to lose.
