TAMWORTH (Coleshill) HERALD
Coleshill Turn On The Goal Power

Title chasing Coleshill over-ran bottom of the table Knowle in this one sided encounter. The pattern of the game was set early on with Coleshill going two goals up in the first five minutes. Dave Moore's crossfield ball found Bob Dyer and he drilled home a shot from 15 yards. Straight from the kick off Dyer hit the crossbar with a shot and Jim Rosborough was on hand to push home the rebound. The third goal came just before the interval when new signing Nez Kelly headed home Mark Bishop's floated free kick. Kelly showed all his class after the break when he beautifully lobbed the ball over the Knowle keeper for Coleshill's fourth goal. The game was now over as a contest with Knowle not having a shot at Mark Civil in the entire 90 minutes and Roy Ashman scored the fifth slamming the ball home after the keeper had parried his earlier effort. Ten minutes from time Ashman was brought down in the box and Steve Polack celebrated his return from suspension by scoring from the spot.

Celebrating TEN years at Pack Meadow this Month. First game not until start of 1974/75 season.
