TAMWORTH (Coleshill) HERALD WROTE
Coleshill On Top Of The World

Coleshill went to the top of the Midland Combination Premier Division for the first time in their history with this hard fought victory over fellow challengers West Midlands Police. Ashman should have put the Town in front early on after Bob Dyer had put him through and Police defender Dorrian was forced to clear after a run and cross from David Moore. But the home side eventually took the lead when a Jennings free kick was headed home by Mick Duddy from ten yards out. Straight after the break Jenkins should have put Coleshill further in front but he outpaced two defenders and then allowed his shot to be saved by the Police keeper. Dyer and Rosborough both hit the post before Coleshill wrapped up the points ten minutes from time when Clarke's pass split the defence and Ashman rounded the keeper before slotting the ball home.

First time Top of Midland Combination Premier.
Awarded Team Of The Month for January.
