Team: Mark Hollins, Dave Moore, Mark Bishop, John Gardner, Keith Shrimpton, Steve Pollack, Brad Russell, Kevin Tipton, Ford, Tony Hanson, Micky Calvert. Sub Jenkins. Confirmed.

THE SPORTS ARGUS WROTE
In the 10th minute the visitors were awarded a corner when the strong wind, which was in the Wood's favour in the first half, carried the ball over the line but the corner kick proved to be fruitless. The strong wind was making the ball almost impossible to control and the game swung from one end to the other for most of the first half. On the stroke of half time Coleshill had a shot from Hanson cleared off the line with the visitors defence caught square.

THE SPORTS ARGUS LATER WROTE
After their two-week drawn Walsall Senior Cup Final against Oldbury United, Walsall Wood were brought down to earth at Coleshill Town and they went down by the only goal by Tipton.

SUNDAY MERCURY WROTE
A strong wind made ball control almost impossible, which made the game untidy for most of the first half. The visitors were under pressure from the start and on the stroke of half time they clears desperately on the goal line. From the restart Coleshill, who had the wind at their backs, won a corner which Mallett, in the visitors goal, took off the head of Calvert. Coleshill took the lead in the 80th minute when a good high ball from Gardner was blasted in to the net on the volley by Tipton. Polack in the Coleshill midfield beat three defenders only to see his fierce shot scrape the crossbar.
