SPORTS ARGUS WROTE
Replay Deadlock

By the interval neither side had scored although the best chance had come to Coleshill just on half time. Hobbs saw keeper Killey well off his line. The Coleshill player attempted to lob the keeper who failed to gather at the first attempt but just managed to smother the ball on the Evesham goal line. The two sides meeting for the third time for the right to meet Highgate in the Quarter Finals were involved in a dissappointing first half and the deadlock was still unbroken at half time. Evesham had the ball in the Coleshill net when Edrop scored after seven minutes but the goal aws disallowed with another Evesham player standing in an off-side position. Evesham continued to be just slightly the better of two poor sides until midway through the half. Coleshill came into the picture after 20 minutes when Killey was forced to save at Lamb's feet and Evesham conceded two corners in quick succesion. Evesham again had the ball in the Coleshill net towards the end of the half, but the best chance so far fell to Coleshill just on half time. Hobbs saw keeper Killey well off his line, the Coleshill player attempted to lob the keeper who failed to gather at the first attempt but just managed to smother the ball on the Evesham goal-line.
Half Time: Evesham 0 Coleshill 0
Evesham were much more positive after the break and dominated the match for long spells without causing Sammons too much trouble in the Coleshill goal. An isolated attack nine minutes before the end at last break the deadlock. Full back Barker failed to clear his line and Browning put Coleshill ahead from six yards out. Evesham put everything into the final minutes and with just two minutes left of normal time Roberts equalised for Evesham and the match went into extra time.

SUNDAY MERCURY WROTE
After 330 minutes, this third round Challenge Cup tie is still not settled. Evesham have not been in front in any of the three matches played so far and again they rarely looked like taking the initiative. keeper Sammons was rarely troubled although Coleshill allowed Evesham to dominate in midfield for long periods. Browning netted for Coleshill just nine minutes from time but Roberts forced in the Evesham equaliser during injury time. The deadlock was still unbroken after extra time and the third replay takes place at Coleshill.
