COLESHILL HERALD WROTE
All Square In Derby Clash

Terrible weather conditions tried - and partially succeeded - in ruining this derby battle on Saturday afternoon. The Pack Meadow crowd had to endue a rag-bag of bad weather conditions but were warmed up slightly by the competitive nature of this Influence Premier derby. Coleshill - who are currently residing someway above Bolehall - showed why they are so, by hitting the lead with less than 20 minutes on the clock. Rosborough began the move, Daly helped it on and then at the far post Neil Hughes drove the ball home for a fine opening strike. Bolehall, however, were not ruffled by this. They soon went close via Dave Tunnicliffe who rounded the keeper but frustratingly turned his effort wide but on 28 minutes the travelling Rene Roaders earned a major cheer when a free kick by recent signing Carl Haynes was somewhat messed up by the Coleshill keeper and Brown took great delight in side footing the ball home. The second half brought no real domination for both sides and although both teams worked hard 1-1 is how it stayed. Bolehall will be more pleased with the result which was earned despite having a changed side again which included Paul "Where's The Cheese" Smith making his debut for the season in the number nine shirt.

SPORTS ARGUS WROTE
Poor weather conditions affected both teams, but Coleshill broke the deadlock in the 18th minute when Rosborough freed Daly, whose pace took him past the visitors defence and his cross was driven home by Hughes. In the 28th minute Hart dropped Haynes' free kick and Brown sidefooted into an empty net for the equaliser.
Half Time: Coleshill 1 v 1 Bolehall.

SUNDAY MERCURY WROTE
Both sides had difficulty adapting to wet conditions. In the 18th minute a break by Rosborough freed Daly whose pace took him past the Bolehall defence. His cross was met by Neil Hughes who drove home for the opening goal. Bolehall wasted the best chance of the half when Tunnicliffe failed to find the net after rounding the Coleshill keeper. Bolehall equalised when a free kick from Haynes was dropped by Hart and Brown side-footed into an empty net.
