SPORTS ARGUS WROTE
Coleshill opened brightly, with three early breaks from the speedy Daly causing the Northfield defence problems. Northfield applied pressure for Powell to create a double save from goalkeeper Hart. Northfield took control and forced three corners, Moody being unlucky with two sharp attempts. Northfield took the lead on 25 minutes when Powell side-stepped Walsh to drive home from 20 yards. Cockerill blazed over the bar when well placed for Coleshill. Powell, who had been Northfields outstanding player, hit the up-right after 40 minutes.

SUNDAY MERCURY WROTE
Northfield booked their ticket to the third round when a good, clean cup tie, played in high winds, on a bone hard pitch, was decided was decided by a lovely strike from Marcus Powell after 25 minutes.
