Season Review
Brian Jordan, who had been manager for the previous three years, moved on and management team Robert Nimmons and Roy Dolloway stepped up from managing the Reserves last season. One point and no goals scored from the first three games wasn’t the best start but a 3-0 win over title favourites Shepshed Albion kick started the season! It was a season of struggle! There were early exits from the Challenge Cup, Birmingham Senior Cup and the Walsall Senior Cup, meaning Town lost all cup games and also failed to score a single goal. The Colemen did manage to complete the “double” over Ansells, Chelmsley and Mile Oak and took four points off champions Pershore Town. Highest win was 5-0 at home to Mile Oak but the biggest defeat was 8-0 at Sandwell Borough. With ten games to go Town were looking over their shoulder just outside the bottom three but five wins in the last eight games, including at Pershore, assured a respectable 17th place finish.
