SOLIHULL NEWS WROTE
Robins In Full Flight To Ride Roughshod Town Tactics

Knowle warmed up for their Challenge Cup Final with Kings Heath next Monday by pulling off a conclusive 3-0 win over Coleshill Town. The visitors appeared to have a game plan designed to unsettle the Robins by using physical tactics – and when that didn’t work, put up little opposition. The first half was an ill-tempered affair littered with niggling fouls. Knowle took the lead just before half time when James Mian’s well directed cross field pass found pacey wing back Scott Sandford, who darted down the right and his cross was seized upon by Mark Robinson, whose scissor kick found the corner of the net beyond the reach of Manuel. Throughout the second half, Knowle pushed forward and increased their lead on the hour when Robinson’s cross found Ian Yoemans who was able to pick out Paul Busst who beat Manuel with a glancing header. Coleshill had few ideas and defensive frailties enabled Scott Sandford to slot home a third in the 65th minute. Only the woodwork prevented Knowle from adding further goals, especially when James Mian fired against the crossbar.
