COLESHILL HERALD WROTE
Derby Delight For Rovers

Resurgent Rovers won the Bank Holiday derby clash with a goal in either half. Steve Walmsley lobbed Rovers in front after 35 minutes after Town keeper Greg Allen had raced out to punch clear. Then strike partner Neil Pitkin was fortunate to add the second on the hour when a Rob Pratt free kick hit his backside and deflected past Allen. Town were rocked by a serious injury to Ray Scandrett, who was taken to hospital with knee ligament damage after 15 minutes. And then were unlucky not to score in a 15 minute period of pressure after the break as Simon Moore headed wide on two occasions and then a shot struck the post. Rovers were also denied by the woodwork close to the end when Matt Ward fired in a long range effort but struck the bar with Allen stranded. Brendan Shilton followed up but fired the rebound over the bar.

THE HERALD ALSO WROTE
Town Fear The Worst For Injured Striker

Coleshill Town take a break from their promotion campaign this Saturday to lick their wounds. A Bruising defeat at Mile Oak on Monday night did more damage thanthe loss of three valuable points. It is feared striker Ray Scandrett may be out for 12 months after damaging knee ligaments in a clash with Rovers full back Matt Ward. Scandrett had to be stretchered off and taken to hospital in an ambulance and Town fear the worst. The defeat threatens Town's position in second place as Knowle lie just nine points behind with six games in hand. Town were one point behind leaders Handsaker but have a game in hand. They are back in action the following Saturday at home to Burntwood Town.
