Season Review
The merger between Coleshill Town and Dosthill Colts went ahead as expected but, much to the delight of Town supporters, the name didn't change! However, the team colours did change to Dosthill's, White Shirts, Blue Shorts, Red Socks, (Red, White and Blue!!!) Coleshill Town Football Club have been playing in Green since at least 1913 and it is sad that the traditional colours had to change but it is better than losing the name and it isn't too far away from the first "uniform" Coleshill Town wore in their first ever game back in 1885 of: Dark Navy Blue Jerseys, White Knickerbockers, and Blue and White Caps!
On the field, Coleshill got off to a great start with four wins in the first five games but it was to be a season of struggles! Town got through just one round of the FA Cup but fell at the first hurdle to lower league opposition in the FA Vase! They also suffered their highest ever defeat in the Birmingham Senior Cup, 10-0 at Sutton Coldfield! Coleshill hovered just above the relegation zone most of the season but four wins in the last eight games meant they finished six points above the bottom three. Their total of 50 points was 15 down from the previous year!
