Wrong Result But Right Display
Coleshill Town slumped to a dissappointing defeat at the hands of Studley on Tuesday night. A 65th minute goal from Dean Curtis proved to be the difference between the two sides. But the result left Coleshill boss Neil Kitching bitterly frustrated. He said "I thought we were worth a point at least. We played ever so well but once they scored, they got men behaind the ball. I can't knock my lads for that performance, it was just a shame that we didn't get the right result."

Studley's view of the game.
Another Curtis strike gives the Bees the points.

Good performance on a heavy pitch

Studley welcomed old boy Andy Keenahan and new signing Paul Donnelly to the team, and after what seemed an eternity at last the Bees were back in action against Coleshill, looking to avenge an early season defeat. The game kicked off on a pitch that was going to be heavy, although the wing looked to be the place to play.Studley started brightly and Edwards and Bailey were causing Coleshill defence problems down the left.On 5 mins Bailey thought he had scored when he beat a couple of players and shot ,but the linesman was well place to see that it was cleared off the line by the Coleshill defence.

Next it was the Bees turn to clear the ball off the line with Hall clearing Carters effort on 12 min.As the game went on and the pitch began to cut up Studley were creating the better openings with Edwards midfield marker not tracking back he also had the beating of the full back, and was creating openings for the strikers.Curtis indeed might have done better from such a move when blasting over when well placed after 35 mins.Coleshill who were passing the ball round well but could not penetrate the Studley defence which was being superbly marshelled by Hall, giving Grogan little to do in goal. The half ended with Edwards being just wide with an effort from 20 yds.The second half was much the same as the second half, but on the heavy pitch both teams started to tire. The deadlock was finally broken on 68 min when a superb long ball by Hall to Edwards, who cut inside his man and found Curtis just inside the penalty box,he turned his man and tucked the ball into the corner of the net to put the Bees one up.Coleshill strived hard to get an equaliser but did not trouble Grogan. The Bees almost doubled their lead when sub Keenahan latched onto another good ball from Hall, and was just over with his effort from 20yds.The game ended with a 1 - 0 win for the Bees.

My Man Of The Match Craig Hall.
