Moseley’s “Hat-Trick” Clinches Win For Coleshill
When Coleshill Town lost the services of Jimmy Hellas after only seven minutes play, with a leg injury, their hopes of making the fifth round of the Queens Hospital Cup took a severe setback. Another blow was struck when Jeff Beavons shot wide from the penalty spot, but three minutes later, Gordon Moseley lifted the gloom by scoring a brilliant goal from 20 yards. Coleshill were doing well under their handicap and Moseley increased their lead with another well taken goal, but Smith reduced the arrears for Bentley just before half time. The game resumed with Bentley moving well and it was no surprise when their centre forward beat Cooper to notch the equaliser. Coleshill were far from finished however, and penetrated the Bentley defence for John Moore to snatch back the lead and just before time Moseley, who had a great game, put the issue safe by completing his “hat-trick”.
