Season Review
The new owner was desperate for promotion and after just two league games (one win, one loss) and an early exit from the FA Cup, Mick Beadle was relieved of his duties. In came Carl Adams who had an instant impact and took the team to the top of the league and a great run in the FA Vase reaching the third round for the first time. But a slump around the turn of the year saw Highgate United open up a gap at the top of the league and when they beat Coleshill at Pack Meadow on 1st March, their lead was 21 points. Town then went on an incredible run that saw them win the last 10 games to pinch the title off Highgate on the last day of the season on goal difference! Coleshill Town were promoted to the Midland Combination top division in 1975, so it took 33 years to finally move up the ladder! For Manager Carl Adams it took just 7 months! And the Reserves won the Midland Combination Challenge Bowl to cap an exceptional year!

N.B. Coleshill played Birmingham City in a friendly the day after an FA Cup Replay against Wellington. Steve Bruce was the manager. Wilson Palacios played under the name Gerrard Wilson. He went on to play for Tottenham Hotspur for a £14 million fee but his first game in England was at Pack Meadow. Coleshill fielded a scratch side of reserves and youth team due to the FA Cup game the night before.
