Allcock Is Cup Hero
Coleshill won this exciting Midland Combination Challenge Cup tie which promised much but only properly exploded into goals in the second half. In spite of Coleshill's early control, it was Bournville who opened the scoring through Phillips in the 20th minute. Hall equalised for Coleshill within a minute, finishing off a good move involving Hanlon and Brayley.In spite of some good tries, it was not until the 62nd minute that Allcock stabbed home Coleshill's second goal after running in from the left. Three minutes later Hallsteered the ball across goal for Allcock to score again and Allcock completed his hat-trick in the 72nd minute, thanks to some good recovery work on the left by Roy Phelps. Coleshill looked set to cruise home but Ryley pulled back two goals by Athletic in as many minutes. Coleshill recovered and held out for a deserved win.
