TOWN BOSS CALLS FOR SUPPORT
Another draw for Coleshill' Visiting Midland Combination First Division newcomers Chipping Norton on Saturday, they drew 1-1 - the fourth successive match in which they have shared the spoils. For the first time this season Coleshill took the lead, when Paul Montague converted a cross from Peter Dawkins and when Chipping Norton had a man sent off everything pointed to a Coleshill victory. As things turned out, however, the homesters 10 men raised their game and equalised in the second half. Coleshill's manager David Kite said: "I was disappointed that we could not take advantage after Chipping Norton had been reduced in numbers, but we were also handicapped by an injury to Dawkins". Full back McGreevey took the place of Colin Sarson who was playing for the Birmingham County FA, did well on his debut and goalkeeper Alan Goulden excelled with several fine saves. Coleshill are certainly showing a big improvement this season and are deserving of far greater support. This Saturday Studley, another new team to the First Division, visit Pack Meadow and David Kite is hoping that not only will his team chalk up a win, but also that the football followers in Coleshill turn up and cheer the Town on.
