After being denied victory in the dying minutes of their last two games Shepshed Dynamo earned their first victory of 2024 in emphatic style beating Coleshill Town away 6-1 on Saturday in the Pitching in Northern Premier League Midland Division.

In a slow starting game which was void of early chances it was Shepshed who took the lead on fifteen minutes Reece Morris stealing in at the far post. Dynamo should have made it two two minutes later but Niall Prenderville's shot sailed over the crossbar.
Coleshill responded and after a mistake at the back Brandon Ganley saved from Chris Cowley and Jordan Smith cleared the danger on nineteen minutes. Three minutes later and Town were level Luke Keen heading home.

Coleshill then nearly took the lead just after the half hour mark James Bowen's shot crashing against the crossbar.

Shepshed regained their lead on thirty three minutes captain Jordan Smith heading home Kyle Dixon's corner and they extended their lead on forty two minutes Pearson Mwanyongo's shot rebounding off the crossbar with Morris on hand to slot home to give Shepshed a 3-1 lead at the break.

Coleshill looked to fight back early in the second half Ganley saving from Bowen on fifty three minutes and then a minute later from Keen.

Shepshed were forced to defend with Jordan Wakeling clearing from Brett Lloyd on fifty six minutes.

But having weathered the early second half pressure Smith made it four with another header on sixty minutes.
Coleshill hadn't given up though with Ganley saving from Alex Tomkinson's free kick on sixty eight minutes and then a minute later Smith blocked Simeon Cobourne's shot with Ganley deflecting the ball clear.

Zayn Hakeem was set free to beat Fenney and make it five on eighty two minutes and back from injury substitute Mason Lee completed the scoring on eighty eight minutes.

Although the score line makes it look like a rout Coleshill certainly made a game of it. A much needed win and relief for Shepshed Dynamo in a game for once they had the rub of the green and chances were turned into goals.
