Coleshill have only gained one point in the last Five games so needed a response if they were get back into the play off places. They got that response in the first 45 minutes of the game against Dynamo with two goals from Joe Phillips and Gio Dainty.
On a sunny but windy day at Pack Meadow Coleshill took on Dynamo hoping to get back to winning ways. The first chance saw good build up play by Coleshill and Kai Tonge have a shot easily saved. Dynamo then had a chance as Kevin Da Silva Bastos was put through only to shoot wide. Coleshill started to get on top and Amarvir Sandhu's cross from the left found Joe Phillips who passed to Fraser Doyle but he shot wide. Then Kai Tonge had a shot well saved. Coleshill took the lead on 26 minutes when a cross from Kai Tonge found Joe Phillips 20 yards out, he controlled the ball with his right foot, then volleyed with his left foot past the keeper. Coleshill got their second on 36 minutes when keeper Alexander failed to deal with a cross and the ball fell to Gio Dainty who casually lobbed the ball into net with the keeper off his line, although a defender did manage to get a touch. Half Time 2-0

In the second half the first chance went to Dynamo as a long free kick was met by Kyle Jardine but it was an easy catch for home keeper Paul Hathaway. Then Jardine had another chance but his shot was pushed wide by Hathaway. Tonge had a chance for Coleshill from 20 yards but Alexander saved. Dynamo started to get on top and a good cross from the right by Aime Kamdem found Kyle Jardine at the far post to head home 2-1 on 67 minutes. Coleshill started to get in the game and a great ball by Joe Phillips found Kai Tonge but his shot was well saved by Alexander. Then a good cross from the right by Kieran Donnelly found Tonge at the near post but he headed wide. In the last minute Dynamo had a free kick from 20 yards but Curtis Burrows effort hit the crossbar.
Overall a game of two halves, Coleshill dominant in first but Dynamo had the better second half.

Our take on Dynamo’s defeat at Coleshill on Saturday

It was a game impacted by the weather conditions as both teams had a half each where they could use the wind to push them forward.
In the first half Coleshill Town were able to use the wind effectively by winning the coin toss and turning the teams round before kick off. Dynamo had two very good chances in the first 20 minutes of the game. First Kevin Bastos was released through the middle by Jake Finnerty but his shot went wide of the post. Then soon after Kyle Jardine aimed for the back post with his cross and Tristan Matthews came flying in to meet it but couldn’t get his effort on target. Apart from those two chances, Dynamo struggled to get out of their half at times and Coleshill Town grew in strength as the half went on. On 26 minutes the deadlock was broken. Coleshill broke down the right and found Joe Phillips in the box who did well to turn and get a shot away with a great finish. Coleshill continued to push and just ten minutes later a mistake by goalkeeper Jay Alexander was punished as he didn’t connect with his clearance properly and it fell to Gio Dainty who lobbed the goalkeeper and the defender on the line to make it 2-0.

Dynamo came out in the second half knowing that they needed to improve in order to get anything out of the game. They had also been forced into a change as Kevin Bastos took a knock in the first half and needed to be replaced. Dynamo did improve in the second half but at times still struggled to break Coleshill down. Kyle Jardine got the Moes back in it with just over 20 minutes to go as Aimé Kamdem did really well to beat his man on the right and get a cross in and Jardine’s thundering header clipped the bar and found the net to make it 2-1. Dynamo pushed on after they got one back and they did come close to scoring in the final few minutes. Curtis Burrows hit the bar from a free kick 30 yards out which was the closest Dynamo got to equalising. However, Jardine’s goal turned out to be just a consolation for Dynamo and they fell to another frustrating defeat.
