WE MEET AGAIN - Loughborough University
Coleshill have only played Loughborough University four times before. Twice in Town's championship winning season, the Uni having been promoted from nowhere to the Mid Com Prem that year and last year in the Alliance following their promotion for topping the Mid Com.
They have the pick of the fit, young, promising students throughout the country as Loughborough is far and away the best sporting university in GB. So when you play them you know they will be well organised and very, very fit as they train each day. Their problem of course is that the personnel change year on year but there is always a crop of talented kids coming through the ranks.
Last season, their first in the Alliance, they finished a very creditable 13th, but seem to be pushing on this season and have had a very good start. A draw on the opening day away to Westfields has been followed up by wins against Oadby, Bridgnorth, Heath Hayes and Kirby Muxloe. On saturday they beat Rocester in the FA Vase and the only blight on their otherwise excellent record is a 4-1 defeat in the FA Cup by Stratford Town. Nick Clavey heads the goalscoring charts with four. Their record so far reads:
